Are you looking for natural energy boosters without caffeine? Ones that actually work? Are you finding yourself hitting the afternoon and having no energy? Or needing a nap?
No Energy/Fatigue in the Morning and Afternoon Slump
Table of Contents
Fatigue had plagued my daily existence. I walked around like a zombie in the mornings and especially in the afternoon (around 2 pm – 3 pm).
Every day I frantically searched for more caffeine to just “keep me going”. This caffeine wreaked havoc on my sleep patterns, which only made the lack of energy problem worse!
I tried drinking more water and taking vitamins and MCT oil. I made sure I got plenty of sleep. I meditated all the time and exercised, but the exhaustion was still unbearable.
Until, I found these 4 natural energy boosters that work without caffeine!

4 Natural Energy Boosters without Caffeine (That Really Work!)
1. Iron –
Being deficient in iron can make a huge difference in your energy levels throughout the day! According to the Mayo Clinic, iron deficiency can result in extreme fatigue, weakness, dizziness, and headaches.
Here is one of my favorite Non-GMO iron supplement options for a quick energy boost without caffeine!
Garden of Life Iron Supplement – Vitamin Code Healthy Blood Raw Whole Food Vitamin.
The iron is taken from raw organic whole foods. It also includes Vitamin C and B Vitamins to help with iron absorption, as well as pre- and probiotics to help with digestion.
I would also recommend: Garden of Life Iron Complex – Vitamin Code Raw Iron Whole Food Vitamin Supplement or Rainbow Light Complete Iron (Gentle on the stomach).
You can also add a wide variety of energy booster foods to your diet that are rich in iron including: Beef, chicken, liver, beans, spinach, lentils, dark chocolate, turmeric, and iron fortified cereals.
Of course, dark chocolate is my favorite (and does contain caffeine in small amounts)… But, some of the higher cocoa content brands (70% and higher) contain as much as 80% of your daily value of iron for one bar!
Although, I have to limit this to keep my sugar intake low…
2. Organic Powdered Greens –
Part of the reason for exhaustion and fatigue is that your body is lacking key nutrients. One way to make sure you get the proper nutrition is to supplement.
I recommend greens as a quick, healthy, easily absorbed boost of nutrients to your diet.
A good brand is Garden of Life Vegan Green Superfood Powder – Raw Organic Perfect Whole Food Dietary Supplement. This also contains pre- and probiotics to aid in digestion.
3. Raw, Organic Honey –
Replacing sugar with raw, organic honey has many health benefits. According to Dr. Axe, “Raw honey contains 22 amino acids, 27 minerals and 5000 enzymes. It provides an easily absorbed supply of energy in the form of liver glycogen.”
As a bonus, raw honey assists in Decalcifying Your Pineal Gland and Opening Your Third Eye.
This also greatly assists in Developing your Clairvoyant Abilities and “seeing” answers to your questions during meditation!
Something like, Nature Nate’s Organic Raw Honey is a great choice!
4. Organic Protein Powder –
(The Game Changer and my best intuitive answer). If you ignore everything else in this post, do not ignore this one! This answer came to me while I was in “The Meditation Zone”.
That beautiful space during meditation where your rational mind finally shuts up and all you hear is your breath. I saw and heard, “Vanilla Protein Powder” for more energy!
I must’ve protested thinking protein powders I’ve tried in the past were gross, because the voice said, “You can mix it with any fruit you like. It’s a game changer.”
I was so excited I wrote down what I’d learned. I went to my local health food store and purchased Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Vanilla Powder (which is delicious with just almond milk by the way!) the next day.
I’ve tried a lot of protein powders and this one is by far the creamiest, blends the best, and also, makes me feel the best after drinking!
I use an Ice Shaker cup to blend my protein powder with Organic Unsweetened Almond Milk and absolutely love it!
It is spill-proof, holds ice for 30+ hours, and comes with an agitator (net-thingy) inside to blend the protein powder smoothly.
Just pour your almond milk in before adding the protein powder to keep clumps from forming at the bottom of the mixer cup.
Then, I add a couple of ice cubes, shake it up, and drink. I usually take an iron pill with my protein shake for a quick morning or afternoon pick-me-up and feel incredible!
Or you can try Combination Protein Powders & Greens (2 Supplements in One!)
